Its goal is to improve the living standards of all Cambodians, especially farmers, through agricultural research, training and technology transfer. CARDI aims to make significant contributions to the Royal Government of Cambodia thru national research priorities for sustainable agriculture and economic development.

    Training Courses

    CARDI's training and information Center offers courses, produces publications on a wide range of agricultural and management topics and has trained large numbers of collaborators in improved rice production technology. This has had a major impact on the awareness of improved rice technologies throughout Cambodia, including both those developed by CARDI and innovations introduced from elsewhere.

    CARDI Library

    The CARDI library holds the largest collection of books on rice and is one of the most extensive agricultural reference collections in Cambodia. The thousands of English, French and Khmer books and periodicals in CARDI's collection are currently in the process of being electronically catalogued and are accessible for research staff and students throughout the country.

    Business Office (PCB)

    Planning Collaboration and Business Office (PCB) is responsible for the marketing and generating incomes so that huge or wider benefits can be brought to CARDI throughout Cambodia. Stronger relationship is now being forged between outside partners and relevant offices or research programs of CARDI to ensure their effective participation in consulta-tion and management training.
